The Smart Switch was designed to ease the installation of an aftermarket relay setup to turn on your low beam light along with your high beam light and an additional set of aftermarket driving or fog lights. If wired correctly the low beams will come on with one click of the high beam switch along with the high beams. Click the switch off for a brief second and then back on and your additional driving or fog lights will illuminate as well! See illustration BELOW:

The Smart Switch is very simple to hook up. First locate the battery or your accessory fuse block in the engine compartment of your vehicle. Then mount the Smart Switch somewhere near the source in the engine compartment. Locate the high beam wire behind on of the vehicles lights.  This you will connect to trigger wire # 1. Locate the low beam wire also near the high beam wire. You will most likely need to run the blue wires to each low beam light wire seperately. Now connect the Red and Black wires to the source (Battery or Fuse Block) making sure to get the polarity correct! We are ready to test Smart Switch function # 1. Note: Make sure J-1 is in place to have immediate switching with one click. To test this - just turn on the headlights and click the high beam switch once and they both should illuminate (Highs and Lows) together!

 Smart Switch
The Smart Switch will illuminate the road more widely and brightly than conventional systems, meaning hazards can be recognized more quickly and making driving at night less stressful.

Now to connect function # 2 of Smart Switch (Additional Driving or Fog Lights. The Smart Switch will illuminate an additional set of light with just one more click of the high beam switch. It is this simple. Note: Make sure J-2 is in place. Then connect the two larger Purple wire to the additional driving lights or fog lights. Also, make sure the driving or fog light have a good ground. Here is how the accessory light will illuminate. Follow test one first by turning the lights on and clicking the high beam switch once. One click will turn on the high and low beams together and with one more click off and back on all three sets of lights will illuminate!

The LED Lights are there for you to see that the unit is functioning properly. If the LED’s come on and not you lights, then check your connections and the bulbs.

Disclaimer: Make sure from the manufacture that illuminating the low and high beam lights at the same time will NOT cause too much heat inside the OEM lenses. Our test vehicles have been many Ford and Chevrolet products and they have never had any overheating problems. Some of the new high-end luxury cars come equipped with the new HID lights and these have NOT been tested at this time!
