Overview
If an intruder were to jump in the vehicle with you while driving, the MTS CarJacking Alarm will not operate until you have exited the vehicle through the driver's door. This is for your safety.
Simple Operation
After the driver's door is opened two short beeps will sound and then when the door is closed the MTS CarJacking Alarm Timer will start and four short beeps will sound. 45 seconds after the closing of the vehicle's door while the ignition is on the system will beep for 15 seconds, then the starter will be disabled and the horns will honk. Now the vehicle will not start until a MTS security coin is inserted.
Turn Carjacking Option - On / Off
To turn CarJacking off you can either put the system in Override or toggle the system on / off yourself. This is a must for taking your car in for service. See override instruction in the MTS user manual. To toggle the CarJack yourself is simple. Operate the system like normal, after the LED turns from red flashing to green solid you hold down the MTS coin on the digital probe for three more seconds and you will hear one beep or two beeps. 1 beep carjacking - off / 2 beeps carjacking - on.
To switch from ON to OFF you must start over the MTS normal operation and open and close the door again. You can only operate this ON / OFF feature with the key off and start with the LED flashing red.
