The MT-IGN-REV 99-02 RACER rev-limiter was designed for ALL 1999-02 Sea•Doo watercraft with 951cc R.A.V.E. engines only. (Carbureted Models ONLY) The curve below was derived from the 2001 RXX Watercraft and should be used on this watercraft if you are going to use typical 91 Octane fuel! Notice the large dip in the curve at 4,000rpm and again at 6,000 rpms. This retard was designed in the curve by Sea•Doo for a good reason. The engine is making the most torque and the RXX is a very high-performance watercraft and the engine is working its hardest at these rpms. Therefor it is very prone for detonation at these rpms.
